Microsoft: The Strategic Advantage
Amid this broader market shuffle, Microsoft’s position has quietly strengthened.
Copilot as an Orchestration Layer
Microsoft Copilot is not tied to a single model. While it began with ChatGPT at its core, it now supports multiple models, including Anthropic’s Claude. This gives organisations the ability to deploy the right model for each task while remaining within a single, managed ecosystem. Microsoft’s support of Anthropic also sends a strong signal: the company values ethical alignment and enterprise-grade safety.

However, for many organisations, this flexibility comes with a cost: integration complexity. The more models you bring in, the more you need to manage them. That’s where Microsoft’s integrated Copilot experience often feels more compelling, particularly for organisations already invested in that ecosystem.
