We’re delighted to have been named as a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) new Technology Services 2 (TS2) framework.
TS2 links public sector bodies with suppliers who can provide specialist IT services, from managing desktops to replacing entire systems. We’re included on all four Lots:
• technology strategy and services design
• transition and transformation functions;
• operational services, which covers end user service, operational management, technical management, and application and data management
• programme and large projects, with sub-lots for Official and ‘above Official’ security classifications.
We’re one of 100 SMEs on the framework, which CCS estimates could help public bodies to save more than £180m over four years, according to Government Computing. Up to £3bn is expected to be spent through the agreement.
TS2 is designed to support the Digital by Default agenda and provide a modular arrangement to enable and support multi-sourcing opportunities. It’s complementary to G-Cloud, but can also be used separately. According to CCS, it includes harmonised T&Cs to allow inter-operability with other CCS technology frameworks, a simplified call-off process and the potential for a catalogue option.
One of the major benefits is that it means reduced timescales for procurement as no further OJEU process is needed. Call-off contracts can be from two years to a maximum of seven years. There’s more information about the framework at http://ccs-agreements.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/contracts/rm3804
