Senior Management Team
Richard Blanford, Chief Executive
Richard founded Fordway in 1991 and over twenty-five years has built it into one of the UK’s most respected managed cloud and infrastructure transformation companies. Richard’s IT career began in the late 1980s at Ruby Computers, where he identified a need to provide hands-on skills and support. He set up Fordway to sell and install IT infrastructure and grew the company through winning and successfully delivering increasingly larger contracts. Six years ago he led a major investment in infrastructure, staff and training to enable Fordway to provide managed cloud services, which now provide approximately half the company’s total revenues. In his spare time Richard is an RFU level 2 coach and Surrey RFU referee, drums in a rock band and is a keen sailor.
Amanda Mival, Head of Business Support
Amanda Mival joined Fordway’s management team in 2014 to bring additional commercial expertise to support company growth. Her role combines commercial and financial management for the business, and she is also responsible for HR, with a focus on developing Fordway’s employee engagement strategy. Amanda has more than 20 years’ experience managing business across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, consultancy and hospitality, and is AAT qualified. Outside the office she supports her local school and has previously been Vice-Chair of Governors. She is also an advocate for better understanding of Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia.
Jason Prior, Chief Operating Officer
Jason joined Fordway almost four years ago as a contractor and was appointed to a permanent position as the Head of Strategy and Architecture soon after. In summer 2017 he moved into the role of Head of Operations with responsibility for Fordway’s service desk, service operations, project management and professional services. As Chief Operating officer Jason now oversees business operations at Fordway. Prior to joining Fordway Jason spent 15 years with a number of leading IT consultancies including Cap Gemini and Fujitsu, as well as four years with Lloyds Register. This included several years in Australia as the Lead Architect on Fujitsu’s largest outsourced account. In his spare time Jason enjoys spending time with his young family, cycling and travel.
